I enjoy the mornings when it is just Roan and I. This morning I taught him how to flip eggs in a frying pan. The eggs were made of plastic and were a perfect version of sunny side up - the frying pan was adorned with a golden scrolled handle and it was made in China. Our communication is minimal but he knows what I am saying when I speak to him and when he needs something he signs it.
There is something so beautiful about the simplicity of life at that age. As we get older our needs become more complex and playing peek-a-boo in a giant cardboard box no longer cuts it.

Holy Smokes

Its official, I'm graduating in 25 days. I've been trying to pretend that it isn't happening but I think I am getting to the point where I need to stop focusing on the being in denial part and start focusing on the work I have to do. So sadly I have decided that this last weekend was the last weekend I will be going out until I graduate. -moment of silence-
I am truly saddened by this because it goes against everything I have ever said about not sacrificing my social life. There just isn't enough time to do it all! Even this morning as we got ready Lynds was like "I totally forgot you're taking 7 classes, how do you have a life?!" The truth is I don't really know - I still get my shit done and pull in the As but I still bring it on the weekend. I guess its true what they say when you work hard you play hard.
UGH! I just can't risk not graduating because I procrastinated or didn't put enough work into my portfolio. Ugh, ugh, ugh! While I'm at it, maybe I'll take a drinking hiatus as well that way when Friday, March 27th graces me with its ever sought after presence I can really have a crazy night. It is going to be pretty fantastic having everyone here all at once - a little overwhelming, but so so cool!
